Weekly Round Up

Sorry to get this to you guys so late, but I had my friend’s bachelorette party this weekend…W.O.W! Anyway, let’s get into this week’s round up. Lots of good stuff out there as usual!

- Kelly  @ Almost Frugal has a wonderful guest post on how being frugal is being different.  We’ve all felt a little different from the rest of society when we’ve had to say no to something that wasn’t in the budget. But, it’s ok to be different!

- Richard @ Blue Jeans Millionaire talks about owning a home versus renting in this economy. Some people scoffed at me when I wrote my post on why I was still in an apartment, and some of the reasons were simply personal reasons, but Richard lists some things I didn’t think about, yet agree with.

- Nicole @ Breaking Even had an interview with a friend who’s trying the online dating thing. My biggest hang-up had always been the cost. I just never found it cost effective, but according to the interview, there is FREE online dating…hmm??

- Patrick @ Cash Money Life has an excellent post on how to improve your FICO score when companies close your account. Seeing as I just went through this myself, I rather like the tips he has!

- Clever Dude brings up an age-old ethical question…if you found money, would you give it back? In his case, I would have done the same thing. What about you?

- The Digerati Life gives us more on the AIG drama…seriously, do these people not learn? Good grief!

- Frugal asks readers for advice on what to tell a friend who’s always expecting you to pay all the time. It’s a tough call, especially when it’s a good friend, but you have to be honest or it will deteriorate the friendship!

- Living Almost Large asks if it’s hip to clip…coupons that is. Personally, I don’t care whether it is or not, I’ll clip the coupons to save some money!

- J. Money @ Budgets Are Sexy has a guest post on the top 4 credit card issuer traps consumers fall for. We’ve seen these tips before, but it’s a great reminder to be careful.

- J.D. @ Get Rich Slowly gives us 10 questions to ask yourself when you’re tempted to buy. These are great because I’ve been giving in to the impulse shopping lately!

- Kevin @ No Debt Plan introduces us to the drug store game. I’ve yet to get into this, but Kevin’s detailed post makes me want to jump right in!

- Gather Little By Little shared 95 money saving tips his readers suggested. Great stuff here!

And that’s all folks…I need to try and catch up on my sleep. It’s amazing what one all-nighter can do to your body! I’m getting much to old for this! LOL.

Happy Reading!
