25 Things About Me (Jonathan)
Well, Kristy has set the bar pretty high, but here goes:
1. I’m just under six and a half feet tall.
2. I’ve dropped out of college – twice.
3. I’d like to write a great novel some day (yeah right…).
4. I have no willpower.
5. I desperately want to go backpacking around Europe but always find reasons for putting it off.
6. I like science-fiction and am a closet Star Trek nerd.
7. I have at least one existential crisis per year.
8. I can’t stop biting my nails, even though it’s gross and my dentist said it was bad for my teeth.
9. I’ve taken flying lessons, though I’ve yet to obtain my pilot’s license.
10. It’s very easy for me to get ’stuck in a rut’.
11. I have an ageing border collie named Scud who I love to bits.
12. I’ve never been particularly ambitious, though lately this has been starting to change. I guess you could say that my biggest ambition at the moment is to be ambitious.
13. I’m an agnostic, which basically means I’m fence-sitting on the whole God and Religion thing.
14. I have very strange (and appalling) sleeping patterns. Sometimes I will have a bout of insomnia that leaves me without a wink of sleep for days, other times I will sleep for 12 hours without batting an eye. Despite my best efforts, I rarely go to sleep at a set time.
15. My favourite book is ‘Catcher in the Rye’ by J.D Sallinger, and Holden Caufield was one of my heroes as a kid.
16. I love history, especially stuff about the Ancient Romans. I even have two cats that are named ‘Caesar’ and ‘Pompey’.
17. Like Kristy, I hate cash – but for a different reason. If I have money in my wallet, I will usually find some way to spend it on something stupid.
18. I haven’t read ‘The Davinci Code’ or any of the Harry Potter books.
19. I really being outdoors on rainy days.
20. I’m an only child.
21. I get bored with things too easily.
22. I will often find a song that I really like and then feel compelled to listen to it on repeat for hours until I can’t stand it anymore.
23. I think I might have an ‘addictive personality’.
24. I am my own harshest critic.
25. I like walking around barefoot, especially on grass.
Phew… that was hard!

Explains a lot…. just kidding!
We at least have a couple things in common – #18 and #24
Hah!
Actually, I think #24 is a bit of killer for me. While it’s good to be self-critical to a certain extent, I think it’s all too easy to take things to a point where the criticisms are no longer rational or objective.
No wonder we get on so well, Jonathan! We have a lot in common! Except, of course, that you haven’t read Harry Potter, which is just sad! LOL. But I also love Star Trek – can do the whole hand greeting and everything. I’m pretty excited to see the movie…doesn’t look like they’ve ruined it from the previews.
# 12 is interesting, I never got the impression that you don’t have ambition! I think you’re being #24 about that.
These are great, thanks for playing along!
Awww! I love people it when people have old dogs like I do. Solidarity!
Kristy, I didn’t know you were a trekkie :) I’m pretty excited about the movie too!
Nicole, right on! He’s about 12 or so, but he’s still going strong :)

I’m with you on the star trek thing but I do not hide my love for it. You must follow @levarburton @brentspiner and @wilw on twitted. Are you excited about the new movie?
Fingers crossed for the new movie, but I’m not going to get my hopes up. I’m not really a fan of the original series (or the resulting movies). I loved TNG, but I think they screwed up all the movies except Generations and First Contact.
Wow, now I really do feel like a nerd.
@ Jonathan – Yup…big sci-fi nerd. Most of the scripts and novels I write are based in sci-fi/fantasy.
